The Employee Wellness Program offers a variety of programs each semester including free on-campus lunchtime exercise classes, special lunchtime seminars, and health screenings. Fliers announcing the events are circulated on campus.

New: Workplace Walk-Off Challenge

First Annual Workplace Walk-Off Challenge

This campaign to “get moving” is a four week competition. With the warmer weather temperatures finally here, it’s the perfect opportunity to welcome Spring and improve your health by increasing daily physical activity while taking part in a new challenge.

The Walk-Off Challenge will run from May 11th through June 7th.

For information on this event please visit the Workplace Walk-Off Challenge Website.  Leave the winter blahs behind and gather support and set up your teams.   Register now by submitting the Team Registration Form and the Release of Liability Form found on the Walk-Off Challenge Website for each team member to Diana Reyes in Human Resources by email.

The challenge is open to staff and faculty. Deadline to register is May 8thRelease of Liability (ROL) Forms must be received by May 8th in order to participate in the Challenge.  Walkers who have not submitted ROL forms by the deadline will be disqualified.  Please note, you must use the Chrome browser to access information and forms for the Walk-Off Challenge.

Discounted Exercise Mats Available:  Portable eco-friendly roll-up mats are available for purchase from the Wellness Program for a discounted price of $13.  If you are interested in purchasing a mat, please bring a check for $13, payable to FIT Student Faculty Corporation, to the Human Resources Benefits office, 236 West 27th Street, 11th Floor. 

Fitness Center: Employees may use the Lari and Barbara Stanton Fitness Center from 7:00 - 9:00 am, Mondays through Fridays. The fitness center is located in the sub-basement of the Dubinsky Center and is equipped with cardiovascular machines, nautilus, universal, and free weights.
