We are excited to announce our first ever Kickstarter campaign! Join us now in supporting the groundbreaking exhibition: A Queer History of Fashion: From the Closet to the Catwalk.
Our major museum exhibition this fall explores the "queerness" of fashion and how LGBTQ people have contributed so significantly to fashion.
Featuring fashion worn or designed by icons from Marlene Dietrich and Andy Warhol to Yves Saint Laurent and Alexander McQueen, this exhibition explores the historic presence of LGBTQ people in fashion. It also looks at the creativity and resistance to oppression expressed by LGBTQ subcultural styles. The exhibition opens on September 13, 2013 and runs until January 4, 2014.
