FIT President Receives City & State’s Above and Beyond Award
Dr. Brown, along with 24 fellow recipients, will be honored at a gala on March 13. She will also be profiled in the March 11 issue of City & State and on its website, www.CityandStateNY.com.
City & State, which covers politics, policy, and the personalities of New York City and New York State government, established the Above and Beyond awards in 2011 to recognize public- and civic-minded women who have shown leadership in the areas of business, public service, journalism, nonprofits, and labor advocacy.
“These awards were created to not only recognize outstanding intellect, but reward a dedication to service in the public and civic space,” said Andrew Holt, a co-founder of the Above and Beyond awards and director of marketing at City & State. “We look forward to honoring the accomplishments of the 2013 honorees at our Above and Beyond gala.”
