Scrapbooks
The Scrapbook Collection is located in the lobby area on top of the Picture Files Collection near the Access Services/Circulation Desk.
This is a non-circulating collection of scrapbooks created in the 1930s and 1940s by NYPL Librarians. The collection is arranged by individual headings ranging from costumes, architectural details, to jewelry design.
Due to the fragile nature of this collection, we kindly ask patrons to be gentle when handling the scrapbooks.
Tip: To help preserve the collection, it is recommended that patrons photograph the images they need rather than stretch the binding to scan.
Should you find any ripped pages or damaged scrapbooks, please notify a staff member at the Access Services/Circulation Desk.
