On the road once again, the FIT Tigers were unable to open the season with an unblemished record, falling to the OCC Vikings 6-0 on September 22nd.  The Tigers stand at 3-1 on the season and closed out a 4-game road stretch to begin the season.  The team will be home for their next game against BMCC on October 5th.

The Vikings controlled the tempo early on, and went into the half up 1-0 behind a 38th minute goal from Meghan DeBoer.  OCC went on to score 5 more in the second half by players; Erica Caruso, Taylor Mize, and Stacey Michel.

Coach Bevivino noted, "We played a great game against a great team.  Defensively, we played an excellent game.  Lindsay Hartman, Lauren Tukowski and Melanie Daniel really did an amazing job.  However, the true star of the game was freshman goalie Katelyn Snow.  She played the best game she has ever played, stopping everything she should have and even making some saves she shouldn't have.  The entire team was blown away at how she played."
