|Packaging Design Students Host High School Teens for Focus Groups
Students from the High School of Fashion Industries helped PK 316 Advanced Packaging Design II students in reviewing new snack foods packaging trends targeted to the teen market.
Visiting twice – the first time to review basic concepts of snack foods and new innovative packaging ideas, and the second time to review comps (prototypes) of the final packaging concepts – the high school teens helped to guide the project development of each of twenty-two students in the BFA Packaging Design program at FIT.
Having the the teens – the target consumers – right in front of the packaging design students to review the concepts, ask questions and probe them about likes and dislikes of snack foods and other eating habits helped to create viable and highly marketable solutions. It was a rewarding experience for both groups!
