TIGERS KEEP UP WINNING WAYS AND IMPROVE TO 6-1
by Max Auguste, Head Coach

NEW YORK, NY - The Tigers traveled to Orange CC for a tri-match with OCC and Ulster CC, and came out victorious in both matches.  FIT first defeated Orange CC 3-1 (25-17, 25-20, 24-26, 25-22) and then took care of Ulster CC 3-0 (25-19, 25-18, 25-17).  With both wins, the tigers improved to 6-1 on the season.

After winning the first two games 25-17 and 25-20, the Colts fought back to take the third game 26-24.  At that point, the Tigers knew that they needed to raise their level of play to combat the winning energy of their opponents.  It was middle hitter Casey Buie who took to the offensive, delivering a few critical kills to bring her total to 14 for the match.  The score of the 4th and final set ended 25-22.

Immediately following that win, the Tigers swept Ulster CC 3-0. The Tigers contend that despite their current record, they intend not to underestimate the potential of any team this year.  According to Coach Max Auguste, "This is the most competitive season I have ever witnessed in my 7 years coaching at FIT."
