Eligibility for IFD in Florence

1st Year Eligibility

All applicants to the International Fashion Design First Year Associate's Degree Program must meet the following eligibility requirements:

18 or older by the date the program is to begin
Accepted into FIT's Fashion Design program.
Be able to live in Florence for the entire academic year
Be eligible to register for and complete 12 credits for each semester you participate in the program
Be qualified to obtain a Study Visa for Italy. How to obtain a visa.

2nd Year Eligibility

All applicants to the International Fashion Design Second Year Associate's Degree Program must meet the following eligibility requirements:

Have Completed the first year Fashion Design major courses as well as English, Science/Math, and PE requirements for your AAS degree.
GPA of 3.0 or above
Departmental approval
Have completed one semester of Italian
Be eligible to register for and complete 12 credits for each semester you plan to participate in the program
Be qualified to obtain a Study Visa for Italy. How to obtain a visa.
