CTP 110 Gerber I

Prerequisite: basic computer knowledge
If you are a trained patternmaker, adding computerized patternmaking to your skills is vital to compete in today’s market. Whether you work in children’s, men’s, or women’s wear, this program will provide you with hands-on computer experience applicable to your company’s designs and specifications. The basics of system management, digitizing, plotting, and pattern development are introduced using Gerber Accumark.

CTP 111 Gerber II

Prerequisite: CTP 110
This follow-up program continues instruction in computerized patternmaking using the Gerber system. Gain advanced experience with the Accumark functions of data management,grading, and marker-making, and progress into the patternmaking functions. Patterns are developed and plotted with full attention to individual needs.

CTP 220 55A Lectra I
1.8 CEU
This course introduces professional patternmakers to computerized patternmaking on the Lectra System, using Modaris software. Students receive individual attention in a relaxed, anxiety-free learning environment. Learn the basics, including file management, how to digitize patterns into the system, and how to use computer functions to perform the tasks you had been doing manually. Computer beginners are welcome.

CTP 221 55A Lectra II
1.8 CEU
Prerequisite: CTP 220
If you have successfully completed Computer Patternmaking: Lectra I, continue to Lectra II for further instruction in computerized patternmaking functions. In this course, students create a finished style and a cutters-must for production.

CTP 231 PAD System
1.8 CEU
Prerequisite: basic computer knowledge
PAD’s Master Pattern Design, invented by a patternmaker, can be learned by anyone making manual patterns for precise fittings from drapings, muslin, and rub-downs. Learn how to transfer PAD files to other CAD systems. PAD operates on MAC and PC platforms. This course will include how to use PAD with other software (Excel, Adobe Illustrator, Gerber, Lectra, Optitex, etc.). Topics include computer patternmaking, grading, marking; PAD file transfer to other systems; printing PAD patterns.
