Systems Requirements
Minimum Requirements for Apple/Macintosh users:
• Macintosh Operating System, patched with the latest update from Apple
• Up-to-date Virus Protection Software (not required for iPads/IOS devices)
Minimum Requirements for PC users:
• Microsoft Windows Operating System, patched with latest updates from Microsoft
• Up-to-date Virus Protection Software
Getting ready for FIT
One Simple Step: Scan Your Computer
To ensure you will meet the minimum requirements please scan your computer prior to arriving to FIT. You may access the scanning tool here: http://fitsafe.fitnyc.edu/authentication/RemoteScan.html
- If your computer passes the scan and meets the requirements then it is ready for FIT network
- If your computer fails the scan, simply review the System Requirements section above and update the components listed. Perform the scan again to ensure compliance.

IT for FIT Support for Non-FIT Residents
IT for FIT will ensure that access to the FIT wireless and wired network is possible from every occupied room. IT for FIT will NOT troubleshoot non-FIT computers; instructions on how to connect will be provided upon moving into the halls.
Non-FIT residents requiring additional support with their personal computers may visit one of the locations listed below for computer repair near the FIT campus.
