About the conference
March 10, 2011 "Existing Technologies Emerging Techniques" -The Technology Development Team (TDT) in collaboration with the Center for Excellence in Teaching (CET) would like to expand on FIT's annual Tech Day to offer the first ever EduTech Day. Sponsored by the CET and TDT the day's theme will be about learning spaces physical and virtual, a look at current and evolving trends in classroom design and online learning. The conference will incrementally explore: learning systems, classroom design, virtual and personal learning spaces, collaborative methodologies, social networking tools and assessment strategies. This event will be open to FIT students, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni and the public. Our hope is that by providing a hands-on learning space, participants will see how our current uses of media and technology can enhance their quality of teaching and learning. The John E. Reeves Great Hall will be set up to replicate multiple learning environments with a prototype classroom structures and installations that explore learning space. Breakout sessions will take place in both the Great Hall seminar rooms.
