HGD 174 2-D Animation Using Adobe Photoshop and After-Effects (Level 1)
Used in producing animated gifs for the web and movies, Adobe Photoshop is the software used by industry to create two-dimensional animations and set up files to be animated in After Effects. Students will learn the basics of Adobe Photoshop for the first few days and then transition to After-Effects. Students will produce their own animations, text animations, and several other projects that may be viewed on any computer and used for portfolio submissions.
HGD 175 2-D Animation Using Adobe After-Effects (Level 2)
Prerequisites: HGD 174
Used in producing television commercials, film credits, and web animations, Adobe After-Effects is software used by industry to create two-dimensional animations. Students will produce their own 30 second animations, text animations, and several other projects that may be viewed on any computer and used for portfolio submissions. Basic Adobe Photoshop knowledge required.
HGD 178 Design for the Web Using Flash
Prerequisite: Basic experience using computer graphics programs used in photo editing and drawing such as Adobe's Photoshop and/or Illustrator.
An introduction to designing interactive media. Students will use Adobe Flash to produce animation and media rich interactive projects for web and other media. Students will learn how to import graphics, videos, animation, special effects, and use sound. Basic scripting techniques are also used to build menus and control program flow.
